The Centre for engravings is a museum of engraving and printing. A unique collection, original exhibitions and an educative offer with multiple facets. A beautiful space, renovated and extended in 2011.
Graphical elements & inspiration
The square and the letter C draw inpiration from the building, frames, paper format and picture rails.
The letter G and its inked texture calls up on the handcraft of engraving and printing.
Therefore, the different elements of the logo overlap with a ink bleed as an omage to the old printing processes. An intentional touch of the hand-made aspect of engraving, whilst keeping the institutional aspect.
